The Food Industry Enabling Technologies (FIET) programme works to fill technology gaps which currently limit export returns achieved by New Zealand food processing companies.
FIET is a collaboration between six of New Zealand’s leading food research organisations and is funded by the Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment.

Congratulations to our Board Chair Dr Kevin Marshall, on the award of Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit. Announced in the 2021 Queen’s Birthday Honours List, the award recognises Kevin’s service to food sciences and technology and his major contributions to the New Zealand food and bioprocessing industry. FIET has benefited from Kevin’s strong leadership and wise counsel since the inception of the programme in 2015.

Dr Kevin Marshall was recently awarded the Massey Medal, Massey University’s most prestigious honorary award. We are privileged to have Kevin as Chair of the FIET Board since its inception in 2015 and thank him for his wise counsel and governance. Read more…
