Dr Marliya Ismail

Marliya is engaged as a Post-doc in FIET project 9 and 10 working on pasteurization, sterilization and extraction of bioactives from food using emerging technologies. She is very much enthusiastic of using these technologies to improve product safety and quality compared to conventional technologies. Before moving to New Zealand, she has been an academic teaching food engineering related subjects at University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. She is qualified both in Chemical Engineering (SL) and Chemistry (SL) and has a doctorate in Chemical Engineering (UK).
